Hi y’all, my name is Shea Whitley, I’m 24 years old, an aspiring homesteader and full-time nanny in North Carolina. I was raised on the east coast of Florida for 18 years but, I have called North Carolina home since August 2023. My core values are tend to be deeply rooted in my faith as a Christ-follower. I believe no one can truly succeed in anything without Christ, and I embrace the idea that failure is still a success because it offers an opportunity to learn something new.
My life tends to be guided by my main interests, which revolve around my love for Jesus and the great outdoors. I find fulfillment in gardening, baking, traveling, camping, reading, learning new skills, hiking, and livestock. These passions have influenced the decisions I make and the activities I engage in daily. Currently, I am pursuing my dream of establishing a productive and profitable homestead business. And I am having to start really, really, really small. Through my personal projects, I have been able to explore the practical aspects of homesteading, even in an apartment setting. I am excited to continue growing my homesteading knowledge and exploring new avenues for sustainable living. It’s not always easy, but I firmly believe that taking small steps and starting somewhere is the key to success. Join me as I embrace the joys and challenges of homesteading and strive to make a positive impact on the world around me.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
11 to seek to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, 12 so that you may behave properly in the presence of outsiders and not be dependent on anyone.
